Image processing
PicBean reads the images and folders you select on your device. Selecting a folder includes supported images in its subfolders. Processing runs locally and works offline. Your files are not uploaded for compression, resizing, or conversion.
Folders and saved results
The output folder defaults to your system Downloads folder, and you can choose another folder. The app writes processed copies only when you click Save or Save all and can preserve the input folder structure. The default collision rule gives an existing filename a new number. If you choose overwrite, an existing output can be replaced; the app protects selected source files. File and folder names appear locally so you can identify inputs and results.
Product data
The app has no analytics or crash-report upload service. Images, filenames, paths, EXIF metadata, thumbnails, and file hashes are not sent to such a service. Processing errors appear in the app so you can resolve them locally.
Microsoft Store purchases and licensing
The Windows Store version offers free basic features and an optional one-time Pro purchase. Microsoft Store handles checkout, Microsoft account sign-in when required, and app and Pro licensing. Purchase, restoration, and license verification may communicate with Microsoft. PicBean does not receive payment-card details or upload selected images for these checks. Offline access to purchased features depends on the valid system license cached by Windows.
Opening a website
Website, Privacy policy, and Open-source licenses in Settings open fixed pages in your system browser only when you choose them. No selected image, filename, or folder path is attached to these links. Your browser then makes ordinary website requests, separately from offline image processing.
Your choices
Keep your originals and review the output before sharing it. Re-encoding can remove or change metadata, but this is not a certified metadata-removal tool. To stop processing, use Cancel or close the app or page. Delete saved files using your device's normal file controls.
